The Centre for Neuroscience (CNS), an offshoot of the Department of Biotechnology, CUSAT, established in 2002 under the able leadership of a visionary neuroscientist late Prof. C.S Paulose, is committed to the dissemination of knowledge regarding novel advances in brain research and mental health. The centre promotes research, debate and discourses over various neurodegenerative conditions and does encourage the participation of non-academic communities. Pranja , an initiative by the CNS set an example for how to simplify the academic jargons into common man’s language.
